The Inhabit lifestyle calls for effortless dressing. If you are anything like us, your days and weekends are filled with careers, children, hobbies, and travel. Therefore your clothes need to be uncomplicated, easy, and relevant to the current fast paced challenges of today.
Vivian Koo, Owner of Inhabit expresses what the collection is about, “We look back to the days when Chanel first designing, she loosened up structure and created clothes that women actually wanted to wear. Comfort was key as was style--yet the pieces were never overdone or fussy--they were completely dedicated to the modern woman of her day. We hope to capture that feeling in our collection.” Koo adds. “We opt for the natural fibers of cotton and cashmere and then work in yarns that offer textural interest that result in a relaxed refinement.”
Comfy, cozy cashmere is the base of the collection, from the perfect pullover to the classic cardigan to the more stylized yet slouchy outerwear pieces of long flowing knit coats, tunics and capes. “Each season we also offer the LBT (Little Black Turtleneck). In knit dressing, this is as much of a staple as the the LBD” Koo explains.
We love to juxtapose silhouettes--and suggest roomy pullovers with our slim ribbed long skirt on the bottom or with your own skinny jeans and flowing pants or skirts with more body skimming tops.
Our underpinnings in both cotton and cashmere add up to essential layering pieces during the big chill of the winter months.
Try a long sleeve cotton V-neck layered under a three quarter length sleeve cashmere hip skimming sweater and throw one of our outerwear pieces on top.
Textures range from melange to pointelle stitch to heavier cable knits and go from plush for the city to rough hewn for weekends in the country.
There are myriad ways in which to wear our fall collection. We hope you have fun. Be bold and daring as you layer and mix it up. But always be you. Wear what feels good, what you feel confident and comfortable in and what weaves in with your lifestyle. As Chanel said “Fashion fades. Style is timeless.” We hope that's what Inhabit will mean to you.
