Whether we are career women, full-time moms or career women with kids, women today have busy, active lives that might include dashing from meetings to our kid’s soccer game to a yoga class to an evening out with clients for cocktails. It reminds me of the movie “One Fine Day” with Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney. If you’ve seen it, you are sure to remember them running around Manhattan with their kids and trying to get their jobs done. Pfeiffer’s character keeps pulling things out of her huge bag, much of which are clothes and accessories for herself and for her son. George Clooney’s character asks about her bag, “Where can I get one of those?”
In real life, we think it’s essential to have one item each season that can be worn in multiple ways to accommodate a variety of situations and events. We also love the idea of this item transforming on different days of the week to create diverse looks.
We have designed the ANY-WAY Cardigan as a stylish multi-functional piece that is also lightweight and comfortable to wear and will rejuvenate your spring wardrobe effortlessly. Your friends, co-workers and family are sure to ask, “Where do I get one of those?”
It is so much fun to play around with the different ways of wearing it. Here are some that we have come up with—feel free to invent some of your own!
-Leave it open and it is the perfect signature Inhabit cardigan silhouette with an exaggerated hi – lo hem. There is the addition of a functional placket with multiple buttons so you can play around with proportion and placement.
-You can close the front and wrap it around your neck, which transforms it into a layered scarf look with the bottom of the sweater just falling above your hip
- Play around and leave some of the front open and then start to work the bottom part around to create a layer upon layer look.
-You can also wrap it around your waist instead of your neck, which turns it into a more classic wrapped or ruched waist sweater style
-Have fun and turn it upside down. This creates a proper collar like you would find on a jacket.
-Wearing it backwards creates a layered top in the back with a flyaway opening for a dash of playfulness.
